Keith Fogel scored 18 of his career-high 25 points in the second half to lead Elizabethtown to a 72-58 victory over Arcadia in Commonwealth Conference action Saturday in Glenside.

Mike Church (Solanco) added 12 points, seven rebounds, four assists and four blocks, and the Blue Jays (10-8, 4-2) went 8-for-15 from 3-point range.

Fogel went 8-for-13 from the field, including 3-for-6 from 3-point range, and sank all six of his foul shots to extend his streak of consecutive free throws to 27. His previous career best of 21 points was set against Marymount University on Nov. 25 and matched against Messiah College on Jan. 10.

Damien Palantino sank five 3-pointers and led the Knights (7-10, 2-3) with 15 points, while Khalief Trawick came off the bench to add 12 points on 6-for-9 shooting.

An 8-0 run midway through the first half, highlighted by five points from Mark Vogel (Hempfield), gave Elizabethtown a 16-10 lead with 12:32 left in the half. The Blue Jays held their largest lead of the opening half at 31-20 with 4:20 remaining, but a 9-0 run helped the Knights close it to 33-29 at the intermission.

Fogel and Josh Houseal (Hempfield) shared the team lead with seven points each in the first half.

Arcadia narrowed the deficit to 39-37 on Palantino's fifth 3-pointer of the day with 17:04 to play, but Fogel hit back-to-back 3-pointers to push E-town's lead back to eight at 45-37.

The Knights would pull as close as six, but a 3-pointer by Vogel triggered a 7-0 run that put the Blue Jays ahead by 13 with 4:18 to go.

Vogel finished with a career-high eight points in 19 minutes off the bench, while leading Blue Jay scorer Joe Flanagan (Lancaster Mennonite) was held to just nine points, six below his average of 15.1 points per game.
